Statement
A sense of humor and cynicism is integral to the way my paintings are presented and the questions they ask. They are not works of feminist political critique. Instead they reflect the often confusing internal landscape and external surroundings we all live with. My work explores ways to present a disturbing and disjointed internal landscape while intentionally creating exquisite objects, ones that give the viewer a visceral sense of pleasure. This beauty is not intended to detract from the subject matter but instead to complement it.
